Reviews
onGreat addon.
I've modified it to disable "Easy" button when card is in learning mode. That way I will not interrupt normal learning steps even if I answer it fast. However, I cannot find a way to contact author or find the script on Github to create PR for this. Would be nice if description contained some more links.
UPD: found why the errors came out. This addon conflicts with Incremental Reading addon. Disable whichever of them you don't need ATM.
Very useful addon! Thanks a lot!

I believe the addon to be great, but it doesn't work for me.
My thumbs down isn't the estimate of the addon but the measure to attract author's attention (if any).
Got this when answering the cards:
Error

Need for me
onExcellent app but I can't help but notice one big flaw on my end—specifically regarding new ('blue') cards: I may now a new card purely based on short-term memory. It'd be nice to have an option to either disable this add-on for new cards to adjust the temporal threshold of "easy" for these cards.
onI really liked it, and it worked really well the first day. However, today I noticed that sometimes it would select one button below the highlighted button. From what I can gather, it still tracks the time even after I show answer, so if I take a couple seconds to read the answer and confirm I was correct it might end up thinking I took longer and select the wrong button. I'm not sure how to fix this.
Actually I have the same issue. (The reason is that starting with version 2.36 Anki no longer puts the focus around the button when you click show answer instead it highlights the button slightly in blue). My best solution is to simply use version 2.35. I would be happy if anyone could provide a better solution.
Like the last reviewer, there were some tweaks I wanted that the config didn't allow for. This is the behavior I'm looking for:
- never change the default for 'fresh' (first time learning) cards. Those cards may well be in short term memory, so 'easy' doesn't really apply to them. The only exception would be if the card were already familiar to me, in which case 'easy' could be a shortcut to saying 'I know this already'. But that's a very rare workflow, and I don't think it deserves optimization.
- never default to 'again'. Maybe I stepped away from the machine, or maybe I just had to think for a while. I don't want the pressure of knowing that if I don't answer soon I'll be penalized. The best memory practice is supposed to come from those times when you can just barely recall (and it takes a little while). There's very little reward here (I'm already positioned to click the 'again' shortcut if I need it), and potentially high penalty (it's immensely frustrating to not get credit and lose 'easiness' on a card that I know).
I believe (fingers crossed!) that I've gotten this behavior with my modifications to the add-on files. Thanks for releasing this, it would've been much harder to do from scratch.
works well however you should add all modifiers to config. i was able to get the results i needed by editing the addon files, but it would be nice if you included these in config so people can tweak more then just x5 ect. i left the modifier in config at 5 and changed the addon file to 800 to get easy in under 4 sec, 4000 for good at 20 seconds, and beyond 6200 to have again afer 30 seconds. i think you could make config way easier by setting the modifier to x1, and putting the seconds for each into config instead, but either way with some tweaks it works great for me.
on I thought of this myself last year and set things up just via straight html and javascript.
I made it consider about answer's characters length so that, depending on how long is the answer the automatic scorer would wait for a time interval proportional to the length to assign the relative button. Also, take into account that there is an amount of time (few seconds) that are shared among all answers' lengths (i.e., regardless of how much you have to remember, there is a recall gap).
I also suggest that you don't let the scorer assign "again" but always leave the user take conscious action on that (e.g., they could have been distracted and lost track of time, they could need some extra time due to tiredness or whatever, etc.)
You recommend setting "Easy Bonus to 100", but wouldn't that mean that there's no difference between Good and Easy for review cards?
From the manual:
> Easy bonus allows you to set the difference in intervals between answering Good and Easy on a card. For instance, with the default value of 130%, Easy will give an interval that is 1.3 times the Good interval.
Very good question: Using my setting recommendations, clicking Easy will make the next interval about the same length as it would be if you clicked Good (it will be one day longer). However, while clicking Good does not adjust the card's ease, clicking Easy will increase the card's ease by 15. This will increase future intervals of the card. In the long term, this increase is so dramatic that I feel an additional ease bonus is unnecessary.

onWorks like expected!
onSaves lots of time.
onThanks for this awesome addon Simcha! I imported it to Anki 2.1 and fixed an apparent bug where new cards had a lower threshold for being rated as easy.
It's uploaded here and you're given credit: https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/490202012
Great add-on!!
on it very useful. thank you!!
but is there a 2.1 version?
